Ghostty

GPU-accelerated terminal emulator with native platform integration.

Ghostty is a Zig-based terminal emulator that aims to match the feature set of modern GPU terminals (kitty, WezTerm, Alacritty) while integrating natively with each host platform (GTK4 on Linux, AppKit on macOS). It supports the kitty graphics protocol, ligatures, and full Unicode rendering, and is configured via a single plain-text file.

Ghostty was developed publicly in 2024 and released to general availability in late 2024.
