foot

Fast, lightweight Wayland-native terminal emulator.

foot is a small terminal emulator designed specifically for Wayland, with no X11 fallback. It focuses on standards compliance (it implements VT100/VT220 escape sequences plus modern extensions), low resource use, and tight integration with Wayland compositors.

It is the default terminal of the Sway and Hyprland compositors on many Linux installations.
