Linux Simulator ("the App"), published before version 2.0 as Textbook of Linux, is an educational iOS and iPadOS application published by Dr Chris Paton. This policy explains what the App stores and what it does not.
The App stores the first name you type when you set it up, together with your learning data: your progress, quiz answers, XP, streaks, daily goal, and achievements. All of it is held locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, and none of it leaves the device.
The App contains no networking code at all. It cannot send your name, your progress, or anything else to us or to anyone else, because it has no means of doing so. It works entirely offline, and every feature is available with no connection.
There is no account, no login, no registration, and no analytics.
The App is bought once from the App Store. It has no subscriptions and no in-app purchases, and it contains no payment code of any kind. The purchase is handled entirely by Apple, so we never see your payment details.
If you subscribed to an earlier version, that subscription no longer unlocks anything, because everything in the App is now included for everyone. You can cancel it in Settings on your device, under your Apple Account.
The App integrates no analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party code it ships is a small open-source animation library used for the celebration effects.
The App collects no personal information from anyone, children included. Everything it stores stays on the device.
Delete the App from your device and everything it stored goes with it, including your name and all of your progress. There is nothing held anywhere else, so there is nothing else to request or erase.
